Shift pattern of 6:30am-3:45pm Monday-Thursday
Do you hold an engineering apprenticeship? Do you hold an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent? Do you want to work with an industry‑leading company? If your answers are yes to these, then this could be the role for you!
As the Aircraft Fitter, you will be working alongside a market‑leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry!
Responsibilities
- Working from engineering instructions and understanding Aircraft Drawings
- General tasks include the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing
- 1st party certification will be required following successful completion of the relevant courses
- You may need to work in a confined space (tank work), which includes restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval‑shaped manholes
Skillset
- Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship
- Indenture and City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC or Modern Apprenticeship Certificate, NVQ Level 2, 3, Key Skills level 2 and City & Guilds Level 2/BTEC ONC in a recognised engineering field
- An ability to work alone or as part of a team
- An openness to continuous improvement processes and new ways of working
- Knowledge and a high regard for Health and Safety standards
- Fitting experience
