Are you a driven, technically skilled surveyor with a passion for delivering high-quality investment works that directly improve homes and communities? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Asset Management team and deliver capital investment programmes across our housing portfolio.

About the Role

As a Planned Investment Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for managing and delivering planned investment and capital works, ensuring projects meet technical standards, are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed customer expectations. You’ll work across departments—Project Delivery, Surveying, Fire Safety, Housing, Leasehold, and Responsive Repairs—providing technical leadership and ensuring health and safety compliance, legal standards, and KPIs are met. This role focuses on creating long-term value and maintaining high resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver annual planned investment programmes including surveys, project management, contract administration and technical support.
* Undertake pre, post and work-in-progress inspections, ensuring quality, compliance and value for money.
* Provide expert guidance to contractors and internal teams on specifications, regulations, and performance standards.
* Oversee and manage works to ensure compliance with CDM, HHSRS, Decent Homes Standards and Health & Safety legislation.
* Monitor budgets, manage costs, scrutinise invoices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring timely, high-quality delivery and communication.
* Ensure data accuracy and usage of systems including housing management and mobile working platforms.
* Support performance management processes through reporting, inspections and contractor oversight.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

* Strong technical surveying knowledge, ideally with experience in planned investment or capital works.
* Proven project management and contract administration skills.
* A proactive approach to health and safety, including CDM, asbestos, and COSHH compliance.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
* Experience working with internal delivery teams, DLOs and external contractors.
* The ability to manage multiple priorities and reallocate resources to meet targets.

A relevant building, surveying, or construction qualification is desirable, along with knowledge of housing standards and regulatory frameworks.
