Greenline Coaches is an established and growing coach travel operator, known for delivering high-quality holiday and private hire services across the UK. We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Transport and Operations Manager to join our senior leadership team and help drive the company through its next phase of growth.
This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for compliance, operational excellence, and people management, while also supporting the business in achieving its wider commercial goals.
What you'll be doing
In this role you will take full responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient running of our operations. A typical week will include:
Core Responsibilities
· Managing drivers, schedules, and fleet operations to ensure compliance with EEC and domestic regulations.
· Overseeing vehicle maintenance, PMIs, repairs, and VOSA inspections.
· Monitoring driver hours, tachograph records, and digital downloads using TruTac and related systems.
· Ensuring daily walk-around checks are completed and recorded.
· Leading and motivating drivers and the small shop team, ensuring performance standards are met.
· Maintaining Health & Safety standards, compliance documentation, and RAMS.
Leadership & Growth Responsibilities
· Acting as a key member of the senior leadership team, providing regular updates and contributing to business decisions.
· Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
· Supporting bids, tenders, and presentations to win new business.
· Attending networking and industry events as a company representative.
· Using customer feedback and operational insights to drive service improvements.
What we're looking for
· Proven experience in a senior Transport Manager capacity (coach, bus, or similar).
· A valid CPC qualification.
· Strong people management skills with experience leading teams.
· Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance, and operational processes.
· Confidence in creating and managing SLAs, KPIs, and operational reporting.
· Strong IT skills, ideally including systems such as Excel, Word, and fleet management tools (Salesforce,, or similar).
· Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
· The permanent right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
Desirable
· HGV licence.
· Experience in business development and tender submissions.
