Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced EPC Surveyor to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessments across a range of domestic and commercial properties. Your work will directly contribute to helping property owners, landlords, and developers stay compliant with energy efficiency regulations and improve their property portfolios.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, meeting clients, and providing high-quality survey data. You'll be part of a supportive team that values professionalism, accuracy, and customer service.
Salary: Between £25,000 - £35,000
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site energy assessments for residential and commercial properties
* Accurately collect data on building construction, heating systems, insulation, lighting and usage
* Produce EPCs using approved software and in line with current regulations
* Advise clients on ways to improve energy efficiency and achieve compliance
* Upload and manage reports via the government register (as applicable)
* Liaise with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth delivery and excellent service
* Stay up to date with legislation and best practices in energy performance and building compliance
Essential Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified EPC Surveyor
* Certified to produce both Domestic (DEA) and Non-Domestic (NDEA/Level 3 or 4) EPCs
* Familiar with current building regulations and government guidelines
* Confident in using EPC software and mobile data collection tools
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to different sites
Desirable:
While not required, it would be a strong advantage if you also hold:
* Asbestos surveying qualifications and/or
* Legionella risk assessment certifications and/or
* NEBOSH General or other NEBOSH qualifications
