The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a
Finance Manager
to join our busy and supportive Finance team on a
16-month fixed-term contract
.
This is a unique chance to step into a fast-paced, high-profile role where you'll manage the accounting and reporting for
International Power Ltd and 30+ subsidiaries
— handling transactions totalling
over £10 billion each year
.
You'll gain exposure to
statutory reporting, liquidations, distributions, intercompany loans, and treasury management
at scale, while leading and developing a talented team in a friendly, collaborative environment.
It's a role that offers variety, visibility, and impact — no two days are the same.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading and developing the IP accounting team to deliver high-quality financial reporting.
* Managing statutory accounts, audits, and reporting across 40+ holding entities.
* Overseeing intercompany loans, distributions, and liquidation accounting.
* Ensuring compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and ENGIE accounting policies.
* Partnering with stakeholders across ENGIE UK and Europe, including tax, treasury, and audit teams.
* Driving process improvements and helping shape ENGIE's finance transformation journey.
What We're Looking For
* A
qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
with at least 3 years' PQE.
* Strong statutory reporting experience, ideally with exposure to
audit, liquidation, distributions, and intercompany loans
.
* Excellent technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
* Confident managing external audits and building strong stakeholder relationships.
* Experience leading and developing teams in a complex organisation.
* Background in
audit
(Big 4 / top 10 firm) would be highly desirable.
