What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Hardware Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a talented electronics design team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leadership: Provide managerial and technical direction to the electronics design team.
* Work Package Management: Oversee cost, schedule, risks, and opportunities.
* Production Support: Ensure the engineering team meets production program demands.
* Technical Governance: Uphold adherence to company processes and standards.
* Cost and Performance Trade-offs: Lead discussions on optimizing resources.
* Control Account Management (CAM): Manage financial aspects of projects effectively.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* Demonstrated high performance in leading engineering teams through the full product development lifecycle.
* Proven experience with cost and planning management tools, optimizing solutions, and minimizing dependencies.
* Expertise in identifying improvements in working practices and team skill development, focusing on failure reduction.
* Knowledge of supporting production programs effectively.
Desirable:
* Experience with PLD / FPGA design.
* Familiarity with requirements management tools, such as DOORS.
* Proficiency in work-package management tools, such as MSP or JIRA.
