Job Summary
Mechanical Commissioning Technician at Royston site for the 3CR project. Responsible for commissioning and maintaining primary and auxiliary production equipment and utility support systems as part of the Operational readiness team.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute planned, reactive and corrective mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
* Perform mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis and problem solving.
* Carry out inspections, testing, adjustments, and monitoring tasks to maintain equipment reliability.
* Support plant modification work to enhance safety and improve efficiency.
* Assist in maintaining a proactive EHS culture focused on zero harm.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Completed recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification (BTEC ONC/HNC, C&G, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
* Completed City & Guilds Electrical Installation Parts One and Two (BS7671 18th edition) or equivalent.
* Experience in a large‑scale manufacturing or chemical industry maintenance function.
* Experience with Profibus networking is desirable.
Compensation and Working Hours
Base salary of £44,261 plus meal allowance of £792.50 and 35% shift allowance.
12.5‑hour day shift pattern including weekends on a 5 days on / 4 days off rotation. May be required to work outside normal hours during busy periods such as the annual stocktake.
