A highly respected internationalpany located in Aylesbury is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a reputable organisation known for itsmitment to excellence and innovation in its field.
Your new role
1. Prepare and post invoices to purchase ledger
2. Processing some sales invoices to sales ledger – minimum input – till accounts
3. Posting of cashbook entries and reconciliation of bank accounts
4. Monthly credit cardmission charges and control account reconciliations
5. Maintenance of supplier account information and payment information
6. Petty cash and expenses
7. Assist the Finance Manager with the month-end process.
8. Highlight areas of control weakness or inefficiencies, and implement the best solution.
9. Ensuring all duties are performed in a timely manner.
10. Carry out ad hoc duties as required by the Finance Manager.
11. Flexibility to take on other tasks within the office when necessary and provide holiday and sickness cover.
What you'll need to succeed
12. AAT Level 3 study or studying. An equivalent accounting qualification will be acceptable, or QBE
13. Previous experience within a similar role - minimum 3 years
14. Experience of using finance packages such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage 50
15. Good level ofputer literacy, particularly with Excel
16. Good written andmunication skills
17. Good attention to detail and accuracy
18. Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise
19. Ability to think outside the box
20. Ability to drive things forward as well as working as part of a team
21. Proactive attitude - constantly looking for efficiencies and ways to implement
