Job Description
Cure Talent is delighted to be partnering with an innovative medical device company based in southwest London, as they appoint a Production Manager to take ownership of manufacturing operations and support the scale up of production.
The business designs and manufactures a clinically approved medical device used in the treatment of wound and surgical site infections. With strong commercial momentum and international expansion underway, they are entering an important phase of building and formalising their manufacturing capability.
This is not a steady state factory management role. This is a hands on build and scale opportunity within a growing MedTech business.
The opportunity
Manufacturing is currently led by the engineering team, with production delivered through a manual assembly process. The business is now creating a dedicated manufacturing function and is looking for someone to take ownership of building and developing this capability from day one.
You will play a key role in structuring manufacturing operations, introducing production control, improving process robustness and supporting increased output as demand grows. Over time, you will build and lead a small manufacturing team and help shape the long term manufacturing strategy.
Key responsibilities
* Establish and develop a dedicated manufacturing area and production processes
* Take ownership of day to day manufacturing activity and production planning
* Define and optimise assembly processes, documentation and production controls
* Introduce structured scheduling, inventory management and operational workflows
* Ensure ISO 13485 compliant manufacturing processes in collaboration with QMS and engineering
* Support manufacturing scale up and ongoing process improvement
* Build and develop a small manufacturing team as the function grows
About you
* Degree qualified in engineering, ideally electrical, electronic, or manufacturing
* Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally medical devices
* Strong background in manufacturing operations, industrialisation, or production engineering
* Comfortable working in hands on environments and building processes from the ground up
* Experience supporting or leading manufacturing scale up activities
* Ambition to take ownership of a manufacturing function and grow into a leadership role
Package and working pattern
* Competitive salary plus biannual performance bonus
* 4 day working week, 34 hours with flexible start and finish times
* Private pension and private health insurance
* Clear opportunity to build and lead a manufacturing function
If you enjoy building capability, driving improvement and scaling production within a growing MedTech business, we would love to hear from you.
