Children's Home Manager
Location: Carlisle, Cumbria
Starting Salary: £40,000 per annum
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Home Manager to join our team in Carlisle. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people, ensuring they receive the best care and support in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care.
* Manage and support a dedicated team of care staff, fostering a positive, supportive work culture.
* Develop and implement care plans, ensuring individual needs are met.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safeguarding procedures.
* Maintain strong relationships with families, social workers, and other professionals.
* Promote the well-being and emotional development of the children in your care.
* Regularly monitor the quality of care provided and drive improvements where necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Relevant management experience in a children's residential care setting.
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent - level 3 may also be accepted).
* Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people.
