We are supporting BAE Systems in the search for a Finance Systems Analyst with strong SAP BPC experience to join on a 12-month contract.
This is a hands-on systems role, focused on maintaining and supporting a critical financial reporting platform used across the business.
The Role You will take ownership of the SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation) system, ensuring it operates effectively and supporting finance users across the business.
This is a BAU support-focused role, particularly around period-end activity, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain and support the SAP BPC system (Standard / Embedded)
2. Act as first point of contact for user queries and issue resolution
3. Monitor and manage system performance, including period-end processing cycles
4. Troubleshoot system issues and ensure quick resolution
5. Support finance teams during month-end and reporting cycles
6. Manage and respond to queries through a shared inbox environment
7. Support testing and validation activities where required
8. Contribute to ongoing system improvements and process optimisation
9. Produce and maintain system documentation and training materials
What We’re Looking For:
Essential
10. Hands-on experience with SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation)
11. Experience supporting or maintaining finance systems / reporting platforms
12. Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills
13. Ability to work in a support-driven, BAU environment
Desirable
14. Broader SAP / EPM experience (SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan, etc.)
15. Experience with UAT, system upgrades, or implementations
16. Understanding of financial reporting / month-end processes
17. Experience working in a shared service or support function
Important Requirements
18. Due to project requirements, applicants must be Sole UK Nationals
19. Ability to attend site (Frimley or Portsmouth) occasionally if required
