The Role
As Examinations Manager, you will lead all aspects of the examinations process from planning and coordination to ensuring full compliance with awarding body regulations.
You’ll
* Manage and support the Exams Team and our invigilators, developing their skills and performance.
* Oversee exam timetables, entries, registrations, and results to ensure everything runs smoothly and on time.
* Liaise with awarding bodies, curriculum teams, and support staff to maintain high standards of accuracy and communication.
* Manage the examinations budget, monitor expenditure, and ensure value for money.
* Lead on JCQ compliance, data integrity, and continuous improvement across all exam processes.
In short, you’ll be the driving force behind a professional, compliant, and student-centred examinations service.
About You
You’ll bring:
* A relevant Level 3 qualification (Level 4 or equivalent desirable).
* Supervisory experience in an exams or administrative environment.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, especially under pressure during peak periods.
* Experience managing people and processes effectively.
* Excellent IT and data-handling skills, including use of spreadsheets and databases.
* Knowledge of JCQ and awarding body regulations.
You’ll be a proactive problem solver who thrives on structure and deadlines, with a flexible and supportive approach to teamwork.
