SEN Teaching Assistant – Ipswich

Teach is looking to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a local school in Ipswich. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, working closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs.
The Role:
You will play a key role in supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping them to access learning and reach their potential. Duties include:
* Assisting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support
* Supporting social and emotional development
* Creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
About You:
* Previous experience working with children with additional needs is highly desirable
* Calm, patient, and adaptable in your approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one via Teach
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
