We are working with a large, well-established secondary academy in the Walsall area to appoint an English specialist for a 6-week placement from January.
This is a forward-thinking academy within a national multi-academy trust, known for clear behaviour systems, strong leadership presence, and a structured approach to teaching and learning. The school serves a diverse community and places a strong emphasis on consistency, routines, and high expectations.
The Role
* Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
* Full teaching responsibility, including planning and marking
* Well-resourced English department with shared schemes of work
* Supportive on-site leadership and pastoral structures
* Clear behaviour policy that is consistently applied across the school
The Ideal Candidate
* QTS preferred, however the school is open to strong instructors
* Minimum 6 months' experience teaching English long-term
* Confident with planning, delivery, and marking
* Calm, resilient, and consistent classroom presence
* Comfortable working in a structured, high-expectations environment
