Night Shift Warehouse Manager
As Night Shift Warehouse Manager at Lathams Thurrock, you will report directly to the Operations Manager.
You will be responsible for running an efficient warehouse team (of circa five members) between 8pm and 5am, Sunday to Thursday.
Roles And Responsibilities
1. Operational Management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise nightly warehouse operations, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Use WMS to monitor inventory, allocate resources, and maintain accuracy. Ensure shipments are processed per standards and deadlines. Oversee loading/unloading, ensuring safety and damage prevention. Conduct inspections for cleanliness and organization.
2. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of forklift drivers. Organize and assign tasks, monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct shift briefings.
3. Safety and Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, perform safety checks, ensure PPE use, and investigate incidents.
4. WMS Utilisation: Use WMS for operational data analysis, train team members, and resolve system discrepancies.
5. Performance and Reporting: Track KPIs, produce shift reports, and identify process improvements.
6. Other Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support training, manage schedules, and complete warehouse inspections.
7. Various Forklift Tasks: Cycle counts, stock replenishment, picking, and loading as required.
Skills And Qualifications
* Proven warehouse management experience, preferably night shifts.
* Proficiency in WMS.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Forklift certification preferred, training available on the job.
