The post holder will:
1. Support the development and delivery of OUH Quality Improvement projects aligned to the Integrated Quality Improvement (IQI) Programme with the aim of both addressing organisational improvement priorities under the guidance and support of a QI Programme manager.
2. In collaboration with the wider QI Team they will support activities and delivery training across the fully tier of QI training offered by the QI Team seeking to embed a culture of continuous improvement at OUH.
3. This role incorporates the delivery and embedding of new ways of working, which may involve projects aligned to wider organisational change.
4. Take responsibility for the delivery of defined Projects within the post’s remit, in line with the allocated budget and trust resources.
5. Contribute to the detailed analysis of highly complex information related to QI projects which impact upon multiple aspects of the Trust’s performance. This information will be used to drive change, working in collaboration with key stakeholders internal and external to the Trust.
Main duties of the job
6. Responsible for developing detailed project plans for specific projects within the Quality Improvement Programme for delivery within Divisions and across the Trust ensuring assigned projects meet key milestones and timescales
7. Ensure baselines are captured to illustrate and monitor the impact of specific change, embedding the application of measurement for improvement principles, including trajectories and project targets.
8. Lead and coach local project leads / stakeholder groups ensuring meetings are held, appropriate reports presented and agreed actions taken forward.
9. Ensure effective communication with staff and managers within the Trust, using high level negotiating and persuasion skills to build co-operation.
10. Ensure all key stakeholders are represented as the project and programme progresses.
11. Accountable for the production of regular reports on project progress, issues and items for escalation.
12. Work with QI Programme managers to identify and capture learning and benefits from QI projects, supporting scale and spread of new ways of working in defined areas across the Trust. QI Project manager will report regularly on the progress of benefits realisation throughout the project life cycle, contributing to Integrated Quality Improvement Programme governance.
13. Support Policy development on specific programme projects, either at Trust level or local divisional level or system wide
