A welcoming primary school in Southwark is looking to appoint a committed SEN TA to join the team from January 2026. The SEN TA will provide targeted in-class support, deliver intervention programmes, assist with personalised learning plans and help build pupils’ independence. This SEN TA post in Southwark will begin January 2026, with induction and handover arranged in the weeks before January 2026 so the SEN TA can be fully prepared for the spring term. • SEN TA required for a key support role • SEN TA required to work within an inclusive primary in Southwark • SEN TA to support small-group interventions and classroom differentiation The SEN TA will work alongside class teachers and the SENCo to adapt resources, run focused small-group sessions, support behaviour strategies and help assess progress. The successful SEN TA will be calm, patient and experienced in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. Working in Southwark, the SEN TA will be part of a collaborative staff team committed to inclusive practice and strong outcomes. Responsibilities Provide daily in-class support to individual pupils and small groups to access the curriculum. Deliver targeted interventions, monitor impact and adjust approaches with the SENCo. Prepare and adapt resources to meet pupils’ needs and promote independence. Support pupils’ social, emotional and sensory needs and implement agreed strategies. Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents in Southwark. Person specification Experience working with children with additional needs, either in schools or specialist settings as a SEN TA. Knowledge of effective intervention strategies, differentiation and behaviour support. Patient, organised and able to collaborate with teachers, therapists and families across Southwark.
