Job Description
Support the environment management team by maintaining effective and efficient information systems and providing administration support to enable the team to meet its business targets.
* Consider and process simple permit determinations in line with current guidance and procedures to protect the environment from potential damage.
* Support and process procurement requests for the team to ensure that appropriate equipment and supplies are available.
* Receive and respond to enquiries, acting as a point of contact for the team, to ensure that all incidents and requests are responded to in an appropriate and timely manner in line with Environment Agency policies and procedures.
* Update and maintain the team's filing system (paper and electronic) to ensure that information is accurate, up-to-date and available for use.
* Assist team members with the compilation of case files, checking that all the necessary information is included and complies with legislation, so that cases can be successfully prosecuted.
* All officers take part in incident response duties.

Experience / Skills Required
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good telephone skills.
* Attention to detail, able to work on own initiative.
* Computer literacy is essential.
* Business administration skills.
* Educated to “A” Level or equivalent in appropriate subjects.
* Driver’s licence is desirable but not essential.
