VMA Group and Jack Pascoe are supporting a forward-thinking group of businesses operating in the smart energy and home technology sector. Our clients provide innovative digital solutions that help households reduce energy use, lower carbon emissions, and transition to smarter living. We are looking for a Marketing Manager to take ownership of marketing strategy and execution for two core technology brands.
This will be a 12-month fixed‑term contract opportunity as maternity cover, starting in December.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a commercially‑minded marketer who can balance strategy, creativity, and hands‑on delivery. You’ll own the full marketing mix, defining customer segmentation, shaping the value proposition, and delivering multi‑channel campaigns that generate real demand and measurable commercial impact.
You’ll work closely with sales, commercial, product, and external agencies to build a strong market presence and support new product growth in a rapidly evolving sector.
What You’ll Lead
 * Build and deliver the annual marketing & communications plan with clear KPIs
 * Own segmentation, positioning, and messaging for target customer groups
 * Develop high‑impact digital campaigns: paid & organic search, paid & organic social, automation, email
 * Create compelling content across the customer journey: thought leadership, case studies, blogs, events and more
 * Conduct market and competitor insights to sharpen value propositions
 * Manage CRM/contact databases and run integrated demand‑generation efforts
 * Maintain brand consistency and guardianship across visual & written communications
 * Manage website and social content, driving engagement and conversion
 * Support PR and media engagement to strengthen reputation and category leadership
What You Bring
 * Strong marketing & communications experience in a B2B environment
 * Expertise in digital marketing tools, including CRM and paid media activation
 * Ability to turn insight into customer‑centred campaigns that convert
 * Excellent written and verbal communication, able to craft clear, engaging content
 * Comfortable working in a dynamic, growth‑oriented setting with multiple stakeholders
 * Strategic thinker with the drive to execute hands‑on work
 * Experience in energy tech, utilities, housebuilding, or related sustainability sectors
 * Understanding of carbon reduction, electrification, and smart home technologies
 * CIM or postgraduate marketing qualification
First‑line leadership, without line management initially, is ideal for someone stepping up to shape and influence marketing direction.
