Consultant Psychiatrist
Join a brand-new acute Mental Health service where you will play a central role in shaping care pathways and building the culture alongside the senior leadership team.
This role is ideal for a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in inpatient settings including working with patients under the Mental Health Act and with an interest in supporting trauma-affected patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Assume Responsible Clinician (RC) duties for Dunnock View supported by non-consultant grade doctors and the Lead Consultant Psychiatrist
* Ensure patients admitted are assessed treated and discharged safely
* Oversee medication management
* Support clinical governance including quality assurance complaints management and co-production
* Deliver care in line with NICE guidance
* Lead and manage CPA and ICR processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
* Participate in the On Call Consultant rota
Requirements
* Medically qualified (MRC Psych or equivalent)
* Innovative and able to initiate corporate decisions
* Understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health
* Knowledge of change management legislation contemporary mental health issues and purchaser / provider contractual issues
* Previous Consultant experience
