Overview
Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority in Colchester to recruit for a Senior Practitioner in the Children in Care team within the Social Care industry on a permanent basis. Salary: GBP46,574 to GBP56,027 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Attending Court
* Court Reports
* Case management
* LAC reviews
* Conducting reviews
* Adoption
* Permanency
* Pathway Planning
* Section 20 care orders
* Visit children and young people in placement, develop permanency plans which include Special Guardianship Order (SGO) and adoption
* Undertake life-story work to enable a child to understand the reasons for being in care and also support children to return home to birth family
Experience
* Post qualifying experience of working as a Senior Practitioner - Children in Care Team within the UK Social Care industry.
* Experience of chairing meetings involving clients, family members and/or carers and other multi-agency professionals.
Minimum Requirements
* HCPC Registration
* 4 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
* Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Driving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means is essential.
