A well-established law firm based in Kingston upon Thames is seeking aFull-Time Accounts Assistantto join their busy and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced legal accounts professional to play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of a reputable, multi-disciplinary practice.
Location: Kingston upon Thames, Surrey Sector: Legal (Solicitors) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Office Based Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 (Experience Dependant)
The Role:
Working within a close-knit accounts team, the successful candidate will assist in the smooth financial operation of the firm. Prior experience in a legal accounts role is essential, along with a solid understanding of SRA compliance and legal accounting procedures. This role in time, can offer progression.
Key Responsibilities Include: File opening and compliance procedures (including ID checks and source of funds)
Handling client account payments and receipts
Posting and reconciling bank transactions
Managing client-to-office transfers
Processing HMLR/Searchflow statements
Supporting credit control processes
Answering queries from legal teams
Covering for team absences and assisting with file closures
Candidate Profile: Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant within a law firm is essential (candidates without this will unfortunately not be considered)
Experience in a solicitors' accounts department
Knowledge of anti-money laundering legislation
Familiarity with SRA accounting rules
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
