Senior Implementation Project Manager Liverpool (hybrid working) We are seeking a strong, delivery-focused project leader who will: Personally lead major SaaS implementation projects. Raise the standard of delivery across the PM function. Bring greater structure, control and governance to how projects are executed. Including this role, there will be three Project Managers supporting a team of 17 Professional Services Consultants. This role requires someone who can take charge from day one bringing clarity, pace and discipline to projects and teams. The immediate priority is delivery excellence. Over time, there will be opportunity to further strengthen and mature the project management capability. Key responsibilities: Hands-On Project Delivery (Primary Focus) Lead multiple concurrent SaaS implementation projects end-to-end. Clearly define and control: Agreed scope Delivered outputs Remaining deliverables Roles and accountability Acceptance criteria and sign-offs Drive projects to completion within agreed scope, time and budget. Protect contractual position and manage change rigorously. Ensure governance checkpoints and approvals are achieved and documented. Matrix Leadership Direct consultants, technical specialists and product teams within a matrix structure. Influence and drive performance without relying on hierarchy. Establish clarity where ownership or accountability is unclear. Set expectations around pace, quality and delivery discipline. Customer Accountability & Commercial Control Set firm expectations from project initiation. Hold customers accountable for required inputs, decisions and timelines. Manage scope creep through structured change control. Forecast revenue and track financial performance. Protect margin and identify risks early. Align billing milestones with delivery progress. Project Recovery & Control Step into projects at risk and re-establish control. Reset baselines where necessary. Simplify complexity and refocus teams on core deliverables. Drive recovery plans with clarity and urgency. Reinforce governance where it has weakened. Strengthening Delivery Standards Champion consistent project management discipline across the team. Support the development of common planning, reporting and governance practices. Act as a senior point of reference for project delivery challenges. Contribute to the continued evolution of the PM capability as the function grows. Skills & experience: Significant experience delivering SaaS or enterprise software implementations. Experience operating within a matrix-managed environment. Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently. Demonstrable experience stabilising or rescuing challenged projects. Strong commercial awareness with experience in financial tracking and forecasting.
