We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with hands-on Technical Operator experience. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance & Repairs: Proactively conduct routine maintenance on a range of mechanical and electrical equipment to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency. Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns swiftly to keep operations running smoothly. Technical Operation: Operate and monitor machinery to support production flow, adjusting settings and calibrating equipment as necessary to meet specific product standards. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance safety. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with food safety and health and safety regulations, maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs. Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure equipment meets production requirements, providing technical support and training to operators as needed. Key Requirements: Experience & Skills: Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, with a strong foundation in mechanical systems. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and experience in troubleshooting and repair. Problem-Solving Ability: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve issues efficiently. Adaptability & Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergencies outside of regular hours if needed. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field. Additional technical certifications are a plus.
