Were looking for a Materials Testing Technicianto join our friendly team at Mountsorrel Quarry, supporting the operations teams on site. This role would suit someone living in or commuting from Loughborough, Leicester, Melton Mowbray or nearby locations.
This is not a traditional lab coat laboratory type of role. This is a vital hands-on site-based role, so youll form part of a team, wearing PPE and working closely to effectively support our operational teams.
What youll be doing
Reporting into the Technical Manager, the role of Technician will be responsible for:
1. Sampling and testing of various construction materials (aggregates and asphalt) on a daily basis where accuracy will be paramount.
2. Testing will be carried out to the highest safety standards and within your manual handling capabilities
3. At times, visiting other Tarmac sites to carry out various sampling and testing duties
