An inclusive and welcoming primary school in BS14, Bristol is looking for a calm, caring and dedicated EYFS Teacher to work within their specialist SEN provision in a mainstream setting. This is a full-time role starting in January, with a handover alongside the current class teacher.
The Role
* Teach and nurture a small EYFS class within the school’s SEN provision
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, play-based learning tailored to children with a range of additional needs
* Differentiate learning to support pupils with SEN, including those with communication, social and sensory needs
* Work closely with support staff, the SENCO and wider school team to provide consistent, child-centred support
* Create a calm, safe and nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued
* Build strong relationships with pupils and their families, promoting progress, independence and confidence
What We Are Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with children with SEN, ideally within EYFS or early primary
* A calm, patient, and friendly approach, with strong behaviour management and emotional regulation skills
* Confidence in adapting teaching for a range of learning needs and styles
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Genuine passion for supporting young children’s development, wellbeing and love of learning
