Electrical Installation Technician – Semiconductor Manufacturing

We are recruiting Electrical Installation Technicians to support a rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing facility. This role focuses on installing, wiring, testing and maintaining electrical systems that support highly specialised production equipment.
This opportunity is particularly suited to ex-military electrical technicians, engineering technicians, and maintenance specialists who are used to working in structured, safety-critical environments.
You will be part of a technical engineering team responsible for ensuring electrical systems are installed, maintained and operating to the highest standards within a modern manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Install, wire and terminate electrical systems and components supporting production equipment
2. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
3. Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on electrical installations
4. Support equipment upgrades, modifications and commissioning activities
5. Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 regulations and site safety standards
6. Maintain accurate records of installation and maintenance work
7. Work closely with engineering and operations teams to maintain safe and efficient production
What We’re Looking For
8. Completed Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering training
9. 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification
10. Experience in industrial, manufacturing, defence, engineering, or facilities environments
11. Strong ability to read technical drawings and schematics
12. Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
13. High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and safety
14. Ability to work effectively within a team-based engineering environment
