Family Solicitor Locations: Blackburn A fantastic Legal 500 firm is seeking a Family Solicitor to join its Private Family Law team based in Blackburn. Key responsibilities: Family Solicitor to manage a varied caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, private children’s issues and domestic abuse cases Representing clients at court hearings Providing clear and professional legal advice, both written and verbal Communicating with clients, opposing parties, courts and third parties to progress matters effectively Supervising and mentoring Paralegals, including delegation and training Ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards Collaborating with other departments on joint matters or projects Assisting in the development of business plans and supporting firm-wide initiatives Participating in business development activities such as events, writing articles and professional submissions What we are looking for: Family Solicitor 3 PQE or Chartered Legal Executive with Family Practice Rights and Advocacy certification (or equivalent) Experience handling a variety of family law matters including court proceedings Knowledge of Legal Aid processes Excellent client care and communication skills Ability to manage own caseload, meet deadlines and work to billing targets Strong organisational and IT skills (including MS Outlook and Word) Commercially aware and aligned with the firm’s values Team-oriented, with a proactive approach to professional development Desirable: Family Solicitor who has experience in conducting own advocacy The Firm: This position is with a progressive and supportive law firm with multiple offices across the North of England.
