About Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a great school in South Liverpool starting in September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a young person, providing tailored academic and emotional support within a secondary school setting.
1:1 Teaching Assistant
* Location - South Liverpool, L25
* Type of work - Long Term
* Start date - September 2025
* Contract type - Long-term Temporary
* Full time/part time - Full time
* Pay: Paid to scale
* Hours: - 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with a specific student to support their learning and progress across the curriculum.
* Assist with adapting lesson materials to meet the student's individual needs.
* Promote student engagement, confidence, and independence.
* Liaise effectively with teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers.
* Support the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with young people in an education setting, particularly those with additional learning needs, is desirable.
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
* Able to work collaboratively with staff
* A relevant qualification (e.g. Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is an advantage.
To be eligible:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
* Provide two professional references/cover the last 2 years
