Core Responsibilities
1. Delivering high-impact lessons that balance rigorous theoretical study with hands-on practical enquiry.
2. Teaching core biological pillars, including cell ultrastructure, biological molecules, exchange surfaces, and genetic diversity.
3. Preparing Year 11 and Year 13 students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (AQA or OCR), focusing on the mastery of "Required Practical's" and the application of theory to unfamiliar data.
4. Enhancing students' mathematical and statistical literacy, ensuring they can confidently perform calculations for magnification, cardiac output, and biodiversity indices.
5. Leading extracurricular initiatives, such as a "Eco-Committee," a pre-medical society for aspiring clinicians, or national Biology Challenge entries.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a specialist who can make the "invisible" world of molecular biology tangible and exciting. Requirements include:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, or a related Life Science discipline.
* A proven ability to deliver the Biology specification with rigor, ensuring a high level of academic challenge for all learners.
* Strong practical skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe laboratory environment in accordance with CLEAPSS guidelines.
* The ability to use physical models and digital simulations to explain abstract processes, such as protein synthesis or the sliding filament theory of muscle contraction.
