Controller – Fixed Term Contractor

Based in our Irvine office, you’ll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our global organization by overseeing various accounting functions and implementing effective financial controls, making a huge impact for our global brand.
What you’ll be doing
As the Controller, you’ll be responsible for the financial governance and control of Boldyn Networks. You’ll oversee the efficient and effective operation of the key financial transaction processes, including Accounts Payable, Payroll Receivables, and Financial Close. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with:
1. Managing accounting operations including accounts payable, billing and collections, banking, and general ledger.
2. Working with the Financial Reporting and Analysis team on Management Reporting, Customer Reporting, Forecasting, Cash Flow, Internal Audit & Controls
3. Driving working capital efficiencies, ensuring that the Free Cash Flow position of the business benefits from working capital improvements year on year.
4. Leading and improving the monthly financial close and consolidation process, ensuring that all income and expenses are properly accrued and reported, and undertaking the “first level” of monthly variance analysis to ensure accuracy in the monthly management reporting.
5. Maintaining and developing an efficient legal entity structure in respect of the existing businesses and ensuring that appropriate structures are created in respect of new business opportunities.
6. Ensuring full compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
7. Providing the Board with regular updates on Transit Wireless tax positions with recommendations as to how to effectively manage the tax affairs.

8. Facilitating and encouraging regular communication within and between teams.
9. Providing regular, clear and specific feedback, actively managing employee performance issues.
10. Setting objectives and monitor progress against them.
11. Ensuring availability and capability of the team satisfies current and anticipated future business needs.
12. Establishing and maintaining safe systems, processes, practices and an environment where the wellbeing of yourself, staff, colleagues, contractors, visitors and the general public is put first, ensuring that all incidents and potential hazards are reported.
What you’ll bring

13. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
14. 10+ years of accounting and audit experience
15. CPA qualified
16. Experience of Accounting practices, standards, systems and processes
17. Experience within public accounting firm and additional commercial industry experience
18. Knowledge of accounting concepts and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
19. Advanced MS Excel, Accounting Software Systems and Oracle experience
20. Demonstrate experience of developing and improving financial transaction processes
21. Proven experience in preparation of complex, financial statements
22. Proven management experience at a senior level
23. Analytical & quantitative skills, attention to detail/accuracy, problem solving, solid reporting and presenting and working to deadlines
