This role will suit a highly detailed and organized professional who will coordinate requests for client/prospect research and analysis, assist with pitches and proposals, work on events, the publication of social media posts and client alerts, the coordination of events and webinars, the profiling and tracking of with experience and engagements, and other marketing and internal communications. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be the key M&BD contact for Entertainment and Media lawyers across the firm. They will work closely with the industry leaders, partners and associates to drive and execute the marketing and business development priorities for the group. Key elements of the role include: Work on large scale pieces of thought leadership, including digital campaign management. Manage social media channels and working closely with attorneys to draft, edit and coordinate posts. Working with others, coordinate pitch materials, presentations; facilitate presentation preparation by assisting with creating and editing materials. Support the Global Entertainment and Media Business Development Manager in various projects as they relate to business development efforts associated with the group. Working on events across the London office. Responsibilities would include handling mailings list, invitations, RSVPs, and coordinating speakers, catering and overall logistics. Edit marketing collateral, including practice area descriptions and attorney biographies for print, website and intranet; facilitate posting updates to firm website and intranet as required. Coordinate webinars, including overseeing scheduling and logistics, working with graphics and events team to develop and disseminate invitations, arranging additional promotion of the webinar through the firm's digital and social media channels, assisting lawyers with related materials, and handling follow-up tasks as required. Manage and maintain the collection of information for, and production of, internal marketing materials including monthly newsletters, mailing lists, internal blogs, and capabilities documents. Coordinate Reed Smith's participation in, and sponsorship of, local and national conferences. Assist in coordinating and planning Reed Smith-hosted client seminars and events. Responsibilities would include development of invitations and invite lists, coordinating with venues on logistics, coordinating speaker calls, and assisting with event materials, event promotion, and day-of event needs. Manage attorney experience and client information in Firmwide experience databases and client relationship management (CRM) system. Help maintain practice group/specialty group intranet sites. Assisting in coordinating and putting together directory submissions for the purposes of legal rankings and legal award submissions. Key Skills, Attributes and Experience Two to five years' experience in a marketing-related field required, including at least one year of business development experience and demonstrated project leadership. Law firm or professional services experience preferred. Previous marketing, public relations, events or media experience a plus, as well as an interest in and ability to understand the legal business environment, including industry terminology. Must have demonstrated experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment. Genuine interest in media and entertainment, with a desire to stay current on industry developments and trends Truly collaborative, proactive, tenacious, creative and always looking to bring new ideas and ways of doing things that can be made relevant and practical to the business Excellent oral and written communication skills and willingness to approach partners and lawyers with new concepts and ideas Willing to 'roll up sleeves' to meet deadlines and help others Flexible and versatile approach to work and enjoy working with a team with different needs, styles and requirements across a range of time zones Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Digital marketing and social media understanding and experience. Extremely detail oriented, proactive and self-directed with ability to independently manage and appropriately prioritize multiple projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines, sometimes with minimal oversight. Possess, and be willing to continue to develop, strong organizational, project management and problem solving skills. Able to work independently as well as part of a team, and be flexible in approach.
