An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 2nd Line Wintel Engineer to join a leading IT MSP and technically advanced environment in Stevenage. This role sits within a collaborative infrastructure team, supporting and delivering Windows-based solutions across both virtual and physical environments.
The role is primarily on-site, working within a secure environment, with some flexibility for hybrid working after the initial onboarding period. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for high-level security clearance.

What you need
* Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022
* Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and WSUS
* Experience with VMware environments
* Hands‑on experience with building, racking, and maintaining servers
* Exposure to backup technologies (e.g. SAN, Cohesity or similar)
* Ability to work with ticketing systems to investigate and resolve faults
* Understanding of patching, upgrades, and server lifecycle management
* Any experience with scripting, automation, or documentation is advantageous
