Your new companyHays Education is working in a welcoming primary setting in East Devon to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs. This is a part-time role offered on a day-rate basis, ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment. Your new roleStarting in September 2025, you'll work across Key Stages 1 and 2 to provide tailored support to children with SEND. The role is fixed-term until August 2026, with working hours expected to be 8:30am to 12:30pm, Monday to Friday. You'll help build trusting relationships with pupils, support their learning and development, and contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere. What you'll need to succeed
* A warm, caring, and patient approach
* Experience supporting children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Previous experience in a school setting.
* Right to work in the UK (please note we cannot offer sponsorship)
