Overview
Principal Civil Engineer — Gloucester or Cardiff
I am currently seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer with an ambition to oversee the technical delivery of a portfolio of projects for a design consultancy in Gloucester or the Cardiff office. The candidate will ensure the quality and accuracy of the engineering to the highest standard and will be responsible for the quality management of designs and the commercial performance of projects.
Responsibilities
* Oversee technical design work and reporting for a portfolio of projects.
* Ensure the quality and accuracy of engineering to the highest standard.
* Manage quality of designs and the commercial performance of projects.
* Undertake technical design work and reporting; strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Competent in the design of drainage, highways and civil infrastructure; familiar with adoption procedures for highway authorities and water utilities.
* Possess working knowledge of Microdrainage, CAD and Civils 3D (desirable).
* Take design responsibility for projects and contribute to team leadership and client engagement.
Qualifications / Experience
* At least eight years post-graduate experience.
* Experience taking design responsibility for projects.
* Chartered status or equivalent level of experience and expertise (applications from similarly experienced candidates welcome).
