What we do
We're helping a trusted provider hire a *Registered Manager* to run a children's home to an outstanding standard, safe, therapeutic, and fully compliant with *Ofsted SCCIF* and all relevant regulations.

Young people who need stability, safety, and skilled care. You'll lead and develop a team to meet their *physical, psychological, emotional, and social* needs, with clear values, structure, and warmth.
What you'll be responsible for (full scope)
*Care, quality & compliance*
* Full day-to-day accountability for the home; deliver high-quality care aligned to legislation, *Ofsted SCCIF*, and organisational policies.
* Champion safeguarding; embed anti-discriminatory practice and equal opportunities.
* Health & Safety compliance; ensure staff are trained and confident.
* Keep accurate records for children and staff; run monitoring and evaluation systems.
* Produce management information; collect and return required statistics.
* Innovate practice and introduce new, evidence-based approaches in the home.
* Attend, prepare for, and *chair* internal/external meetings; write concise, evaluative reports; oversee all written communications.
* *On-call* on a rota; undertake *sleep-ins* if needed to cover shortfalls.
* Make sound decisions; oversee *admissions and discharges*.
* Lead change and communicate a clear vision aligned with the organisation's ethos.
* Hold (or be willing to work towards) *Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management* (Children & Young People).
*People leadership (HR)*
* Lead recruitment; ensure all checks are complete.
* Deliver thorough *inductions*, regular *supervision*, and *appraisals*.
* Own CPD: track mandatory training and skill development for the whole team.
* Build and maintain effective *rotas*; approve *monthly expenses*.
* Investigate grievances, complaints, and disciplinaries in line with policy.
*Finance, premises & resources*
* Monitor the service *budget* and transactions; meet financial targets.
* Ensure the building and equipment meet maintenance and safety requirements.
*External relationships*
* Positively represent the organisation with external agencies and the public.
* Liaise with *commissioners/referrals managers* on placements.
* Attend and contribute to *psychotherapy leadership & management forums*; lead these meetings within your team.
