We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Primary Care Nurse to join our Healthcare team at HMP Dovegate, a category B prison located near Uttoxeter in Staffordshire. In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
The site currently offers a 24-hour service and a range of shift patterns.
* Days: Mon-Fri 06:45 - 18:15 or 06:45 - 20:15
* Sat/Sun & Bank Holidays: 07:45 - 18:15 or 07:45 - 20:15
* Nights: Sun-Thu 20:00 - 07:00; Fri-Sat 20:00 - 08:00
Salary
You'll receive a bank hourly rate of £23.83 (weekdays) & £25.68 (weekends).

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
* Deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
* Deliver non-judgemental care
* Build strong links with our partners and stakeholders

Requirements
* Registered nurse - Adult
* Current professional qualification (NMC)
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
