Job Description
As a Finance Manager working as part of our South American Management Accounts team, you will oversee internal financial operations and act as a local regulatory specialist.
Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager you will oversee our South American internal ledgers, prepare management accounts, and ensure accurate reporting.
You will be fundamental in growing and developing members of the South American Accountants team. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of work so must be detail-oriented with a keen eye for discrepancies.
The South American region represents a dynamic and rapidly changing aspect of the Business, characterised by intricate compliance demands, particularly surrounding tax regulations. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional development and will allow you to cultivate specialised expertise across various technical domains.
This role works closely with various stakeholders necessitating significant interaction both externally and internally.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience.
* Proven experience in management accounting, tax, financial reporting, and internal controls.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
* Flexible and proactive with excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail.
* Adaptable and capable of learning quickly in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster strong relationships, promoting effective collaboration.
Additional Information
* Leading a team of Senior Accountants, providing guidance and support in their roles.
* Overseeing the internal financial ledgers and management accounts for South America, ensuring compliance with local accounting rules and regulations.
* Acting as a specialist in the financial practices of Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina, translating local regulations into corporate accounting standards.
* Conducting variance analysis against budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
* Managing the preparation of period-end and year-end accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
* Reviewing and validating the work completed by Senior Accountants, ensuring high standards of accuracy and compliance.
* Engaging closely with internal stakeholders to ensure continuity and alignment in financial reporting.
