We are looking for a Head of Business Support who will be the strategic lead for the operational delivery of business support across Kingston and Richmond, ensuring seamless operations and strategic collaboration within our Children's Services departments.

About the role
As a Head of Business Support, your mandate will include:
2. Leading and managing a team of Business Support Managers to provide a strategic, efficient, and adaptable business support service. This encompasses a spectrum of strategic administrative tasks, including facilitating high-level meetings, strategic diary management, maintaining strategic records, and addressing strategic inquiries and administrative needs.
3. Spearheading strategic business process improvements within the Children's Services Directorate, in close collaboration with senior management.
4. Facilitating strategic communication between key stakeholders within the Children's Services sector to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of all support services.
5. Managing other related functions within the service eg complaints, stationary and interpreting services

About you
You will be innovative, proactive, and driven to ensure high-quality administrative services are provided to the Children's Services departments across Kingston and Richmond. An empathetic leader, you will excel in leading complex programs while effectively managing day-to-day operations. With a keen eye for technology, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing how business support is delivered both now and in the future.
Additionally, you will possess:
6. Significant management and leadership experience in a business support capacity, overseeing multi-discipline teams of support staff within a matrix model.
7. Exceptional customer service and stakeholder relationship management skills, adept at engaging with senior leaders and external stakeholders to provide informed service-specific information.
8. A strong background in staff management and supervision, with a track record of meeting personal and team objectives through effective HR-driven performance management techniques
9. Complex level of proficiency in presenting management information clearly and methodically, with excellent analytical skills and expertise in data governance
