Overview
Technology Enabled Care (TEC) is a key part of Sandwell’s ambition to help residents live independently, safely and well for longer. This role gives you the opportunity to support the day‑to‑day delivery of TEC across Adult Social Care and help turn digital care from individual projects into routine practice.
You will work closely with practitioners, teams and partners to promote the use of technology in care planning, provide hands‑on support and training, and help embed TEC into everyday pathways. Through your work, you will support service improvement, encourage confident use of digital solutions, and contribute to better outcomes for residents across Sandwell.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of Technology Enabled Care pathways, digital equipment solutions and day-to-day TEC activity across Adult Social Care
* Work alongside practitioners and managers to promote safe, effective use of TEC and help embed it into routine care planning
* Contribute to service improvement activity by gathering feedback, supporting testing of new approaches and helping evaluate what works
* Deliver training, demonstrations and hands‑on support so staff feel confident using digital and technology-enabled solutions
* Work with residents, carers and frontline staff to ensure TEC is practical, inclusive and centred around real needs
* Build positive working relationships with council teams, NHS colleagues, voluntary sector partners and technology providers to support joined‑up delivery
Essential Requirements
* Educated to Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject
* Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a health or social care setting
* Experience supporting change and promoting independence
* Strong digital literacy, including ability to coach and support others
* Confident written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex or sensitive information clearly
Additional Information
The role requires flexible working and travel across Sandwell and the wider West Midlands as needed. The post is subject to the council’s normal recruitment checks.
