Job Description
We are working with an established and well-respected consultancy business who work across the manufacturing, engineering and processing industries supporting clients in their design, build and compliance of process management and improvement. As a business we bring together over 30 years of expertise to provide a high level of consultancy to our customers, for them to enhance their own customer offering and improve their internal efficiencies.
Through continued growth we now require a Finance Manager/Controller to work closely with the MD, SD and Ops Director and support the business as we continue to grow both within the UK and overseas.
The role as Finance Manager will involve: -
* Responsible for producing the management accounts and supporting performance commentary for the Board
* Establish an effective monthly reporting cycle for the accounts function working across the business with all things accounts related, allowing for accountability and control of costs.
* Work closely with the commercial project team on margin control and cost management, continually analysis WIP against projected costs, monitoring risks and variable factors accordingly.
* Manage the reporting of all WIP expenses and contract costs, with both internal and contract personnel.
* Process all accruals/prepayments as well as monitor all the nominal coding for the transactional reporting.
* Responsible for the company payroll including bonuses, working alongside the MD.
* Monitor the cashflow and daily banking, managing the credit control and forecasting cash balances and timely collections.
* Complete reconciliations including daily bank reconciliations, supplier statement reconciliations and month end balance sheet reconciliations.
* Manage the budgeting and forecasting progress of both revenue and expenditure across all projects, continually monitoring WIP calculations in line with budgets.
* Working closely with operational and sales managers to monitor the contracts are in line with budget projections.
* Main point of contact for all VAT/Tax and HMRC calculations and submissions, across all UK and overseas entities.
* Manage the yearly audit and reporting of statutory accounts across the business.
