Editor – Tunbridge Wells, Kent (office‑based)
* Full time, permanent position
* £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (DoE) + Discretionary Bonus

As the largest independent, award‑winning publisher of art and craft books, our client produces beautiful, practical titles across subjects such as patchwork and pottery, as well as watercolour and weaving.
The Role
We're seeking a talented Editor to join a friendly team of 11 in Tunbridge Wells. Working closely with the Managing Editor and Designers, you'll manage an exciting range of practical art and craft books from concept to print‑ready copy.
Key Responsibilities
* Project manage titles from initial planning through to final production
* Liaise with illustrators, proofreaders, pattern checkers, and other freelancers
* Copy‑edit manuscripts and write engaging marketing copy
* Coordinate both in‑house and remote photography sessions
* Maintain excellent communication between Design, Publicity, Production, and Sales & Marketing teams
* Ensure books meet our high standards of clarity, style, and visual appeal

The Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of three years' editorial experience
* Confident in using InDesign and other key software
* Exceptional copywriting and proofreading skills
* Strong project management and organisational abilityCreative thinker with an eye for layout and detail
* Interest in art, craft, or design is an advantage
