Technical Manager - Food Manufacturing Craigavon | £50,000 - £55,000 | Monday - Friday The Opportunity A market-leading food manufacturer, supplying major UK and Irish retailers, is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager to join their Craigavon site. This senior leadership role is central to ensuring all products are safe, legal, and consistently delivered to the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Role As Senior Technical Manager, you will have full responsibility for technical and quality functions on-site. You'll lead a high-performing team, championing a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and customer focus. Working closely with Operations, NPD, and Commercial teams, you will also act as a key point of contact for retail customers and external auditors. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop the technical team, embedding a culture of food safety, quality, and compliance. Ensure all products meet legal, customer, and audit requirements. Build strong technical relationships with major retail customers, acting as their primary site contact. Manage and support customer visits and third-party audits. Oversee the technical training matrix and development plans. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support innovation and new product launches. Ensure full compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, and retailer standards. About You We are looking for a confident leader with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in food manufacturing. Essential Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related subject. Proven experience in a senior technical management role within food manufacturing. In-depth knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and food safety management systems. Strong retail customer-facing experience, including audit management. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Flexible, proactive, and adaptable approach. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor qualification. Experience in high-care or high-risk manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of retailer standards (M&S, Waitrose in particular). HACCP Level 4 certification. What's on Offer Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
