Venue Operations Manager
Fixed-Term Project | Live Environment
We are representing a leading national soft services provider seeking an experienced Venue Operations Manager for a high-profile, fixed-term project within a major live venue environment.
This role requires a confident, hands-on operational leader who can manage large teams, respond quickly to change, and maintain exceptional service standards in a fast-paced setting.
The Role
You will have full responsibility for service delivery within a designated venue, overseeing cleaning operations and leading on-site management teams. Acting as the senior on-site contact, you will liaise closely with stakeholders and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

End-to-end operational management of venue-based cleaning services

Leadership of supervisors, administrators, and large operational workforces
*
Workforce planning, rotas, overtime, and short-notice staffing changes
*
Oversight of pre-event, live, and post-event cleaning activity
*
Performance monitoring through audits, inspections, and reporting
*
Primary operational point of contact for venue stakeholders
*
Health & safety compliance and training oversight
*
Close collaboration with HR and Payroll to support recruitment and onboarding
*
Rapid issue resolution in a live, high-pressure environment
Candidate Profile
*
Proven experience in operations, venue, or cleaning management
*
Background in live environments such as venues, events, stadia, transport hubs, or similar
*
Strong leadership capability with experience managing large teams
*
Highly organised, decisive, and calm under pressure
*
Professional communicator with a solutions-focused mindset
*
Confident using Microsoft Office and operational systems
*
Full UK driving licence – essential
Package & Details
*
Contract: Fixed-term project role (Feb – Aug 2026 approx.)
*
Salary: £38,000 pro rata + completion bonus
*
Hours: Full-time with flexibility (evenings/weekends during peak periods)

Location: Glasgow area (office-based initially, venue-based during delivery)
