Main duties of the job
As a Registered General Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents. Your focus will be on acting as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required, and ensuring residents receive the best possible care. You will undertake nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions. You will also be responsible for deploying and supervising the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed and residents receive the required care.

About the role
Your focus as a Registered Nurse will be to act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required, and observing all instructions to act on their behalf while ensuring high standards of care for our residents. Other responsibilities include:
* Undertaking nursing tasks including medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and managing chronic medical conditions.
* Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition that give rise to concern and keeping them informed and involved in care decisions.
* Deploying and supervising staff within the care team to ensure all tasks are completed and residents receive required care.
* Providing high standards of care through accurate assessment and planning.
About you
To succeed, you will embody our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Our ideal candidate must:
* Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
* Have a minimum of 2 years' experience with up-to-date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post-basic studies/qualifications.
* Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
* Possess sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
