Responsibilities:
Responsible for the organisation, management and care of the establishment. To provide high quality, flexible childcare for families from the local communities. To oversee the operation of the day nursery to the highest standards, ensuring that the best possible environment and care are provided for young children. To lead a team of professionals providing a stable and supportive atmosphere for families using the nursery.
Your responsibilities as Deputy Manager will include:
« Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
« Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times
« To monitor & discuss with Room Leaders, the effectiveness of the nursery curriculum and of all assessment procedures
« To be responsible for monitoring the quality of teaching, share ideas and to identify in-service training needs
« To demonstrate effective time and resource management to meet the planned needs of children and families and any anticipated demands that might be reasonably foreseen.
« To liaise with management, social services, and other professionals as necessary
« Oversee the implementation of systems of observation and record keeping so that children's attainment and progress is effectively and regularly assessed.
Qualifications/Experience:
« GCSE / O'Level Mathematics and English required (Grade C or above).
« Level 3 Childcare (or higher) Qualification is essential.
« In-Depth knowledge of the current EYFS regulations
« Strong inter-personal skills
« Full awareness of the Children's Act 1989
« Paediatric First Aid Certificate
« Food Hygiene Certificate
« DBS Checked
