We are currently looking for a number of Lead Piping Engineers to work on a permanent basis in our Reading office. These are highly strategic roles with the ideal candidate will be at Principal or Lead level with extensive years of experience within the industry. You will have a thorough understanding of equipment typically encountered in projects and understand any special requirements that these may bring, such as Vibration / Maintenance / Piping configuration.
11. Detailed knowledge of Piping Design and Plant Layout aspects
12. Proven understanding of Pipe Specification
13. Shall be capable of reviewing and checking / correcting basic deliverables; preparation of Plot Plans in accordance with Project requirements and standards for checking by Layout Engineer
14. Capable of representing the project to the Client
15. Control of schedule and man hour budgets
16. Possess management skills and the ability to deliver projects
17. Issue clear directions on targets, communicate concisely and develop the piping team on projects
18. Maintain a strong work ethic and understand team dynamics and adjust behaviour to gain maximum advantage
19. Understand how to motivate and control designers and engineers to produce quality work on target and to budget
20. Understand workshare elements and how to divide work - scopes

30. Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar related subject
31. Demonstrate a wealth of relevant experience in petrochemical or similar related industry
32. Experience must include Detail Engineering of similar installations and be of lead specification engineer calibre with strong communication skills
33. Ability to deal with resolution of technical and contractual issues and policing of the design to ensure compliance with project requirements
34. Proven strong character and self - motivated individual
35. Proven ability to engage in effective dealings with both client / owner and detail design contractors
36. Must be able to work with the minimum of supervision and be technically strong
37. FEED or EPC experience
