Construction & Operations DirectorPermanent | Yorkshire Region£85,000-£110,000 + Executive Package + Car / AllowanceAre you a strategic and commercially focused leader with a proven track record in construction operations?A well-established regional contractor is seeking a Construction & Operations Director to drive operational excellence, lead project delivery teams, and contribute to the long-term strategic growth of the business across Yorkshire.The RoleAs Construction & Operations Director, you will oversee all operational functions, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will shape business strategy, strengthen client relationships, and lead cultural and operational improvements across the company.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership across all construction and operational activitiesOversee multiple project teams, Contract Managers, Site Managers, and delivery functionsDrive operational performance, project governance, and consistent quality standardsLead resource planning, workforce development, and succession planningStrengthen relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholdersSupport business development, bidding, and commercial decision-makingEnsure compliance with H&S legislation, risk management, and operational proceduresLead continuous improvement initiatives across safety, programme, and qualityProvide board-level reporting on performance, risk, forecasting, and pipelineChampion company culture, staff engagement, and operational excellenceAbout YouExtensive leadership experience at Contracts/Operations Director or Senior Project/Contracts Manager levelStrong background in construction, housebuilding, or major works deliveryProven ability to lead large teams and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyCommercially astute with strong financial, contractual, and strategic awarenessExcellent client-facing communicator with the ability to build long-term relationshipsForward-thinking, innovative, and able to influence business-wide performanceFull UK driving licence and relevant senior-level qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS Black/Platinum, NEBOSH or equivalent desirable)What's on OfferCompetitive salary £85,000-£110,000, depending on experienceExecutive-level package, car/allowance, bonus, and benefitsSenior leadership role with real influence and autonomyWell-established contractor with strong regional reputation and secured pipelineOpportunity to shape operational strategy and future growthWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
