About the Opportunity
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in systems engineering management for secure systems in Defence through the entire systems lifecycle. You will report into the business unit’s head of market for Defence and will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of projects with a cyber security focus within our Defence portfolio.
Specific responsibilities are as follows:
1. Overseeing technical responses for large and complex cyber system tenders
2. Engineering management of tenders and contracted work to ensure appropriate quality
3. Defining appropriate engineering processes for programme execution
4. Engineering estimation (bid phase and execution phase)
5. Engineering planning across multi-disciplinary teams
6. Engineering resource allocation and coordination across a partner/supplier ecosystem
Here’s What You’ll Need
7. Multiple years’ relevant Systems Engineering experience, with proven success in both project delivery and winning new business in Defence
8. In-depth understanding of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288
9. In depth knowledge of MOD cybersecurity standards and Secure by Design, with practical experience of applying them on defence projects
10. Excellent presentation and written skills
11. Ability to analyse and solve complex problems
12. Ability to lead and coordinate activities across a wide ecosystem of suppliers and partners.
13. Systems Engineering QA
14. Line management for multi-disciplinary teams
15. Managed service provision (ITIL, ITSM, ISO20001, SIAM)
16. Hold current SC or DV clearance, or able to obtain clearance
