About Pearson Assessment Services: PAS provides assessment services to UK and international markets, supporting government education departments with project management, operational delivery, and technical solutions. We are part of Pearson School Qualifications, supporting curriculum, qualifications, and assessments globally, delivering exams to over a million students annually in more than 80 countries.
About You: Ideal candidates will have experience with complex projects involving CI/CD pipeline deployments, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Python scripting, and troubleshooting. You should be eager to work on fast-moving projects and contribute to design decisions.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Strong understanding of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and cloud implementation with hands-on experience.
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
* Proficient in building and deploying applications using DevOps practices with tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket.
* Experience with Amazon AWS services: EC2, VPC, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, EventBridge, Step Functions, and security management.
* Experience with database services: Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB.
* Proficiency in Python scripting for automation in AWS.
* Knowledge of enterprise database solutions such as Oracle and MS-SQL.
* Experience working with large-scale data environments.
* Ability to create release documentation.
* Optional familiarity with GCP services: Datastream, BigQuery, CloudSQL.
* Experience with JIRA and agile methodologies.
